DIY project:

I had a lot of fun with this project. I have done many different “projects” with friends. Some of these included a homemade foundry, a hydrogen generator, and a couple of pc modes, but I have never made something like a kite before. It was a lot of fun to make and test it. I have even made plans to make a larger one.

Animation:

I have done these kinds of animations before but never in this style. I have always done kinetic typography to songs but never a poem. This was a lot of fun to do. I will definitely do this more in the future. Possibly with my own recordings.

Simple Platform Game:

Your goal is to escape the laboratory that has captured you. This 2D Portal inspired puzzle game known as “Test To Be Remembered By”, is meant to test your ingenuity to solve the tests. I have always liked puzzle games and creating my own was a great learning experience. I am no artist but I can code. At some point I want to make my own assets.

Multiplayer game:

This was another project that I had a lot of fun with. Once again, I am not an artist but I do want to create some assets some time. For this project I wanted to do a multiplayer game and since I had never done a racing game before I wanted to do that. This taught me a lot about both constructs multiplayer and how to manage a multiplayer game.

Overall I had a lot of fun and learned many things this semester. I remember Dr. Delwiche saying that he had to use this class like a break or reward for working on his other classes and I completely agree with that. I loved this class. Everything from the projects to the game nights where fun. I’ve made friends who I will be playing games and doing other fun things. I won’t be forgetting this class any time soon.
